About Dr. Ashley Wade-Vuturo
As a DC-area native, I’m so excited to be back home practicing at Fairfax Gynecology. I was born in Reston, spent my childhood in Oakton, and am a proud alumna of the Holton-Arms school in Bethesda. My husband C.J. and I met in college at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. I came back to the East Coast for medical school and residency at the University of Maryland. Before moving back to DC, I was in practice as an OB-GYN in Baltimore City.
In my personal time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, gardening, cooking new vegetarian dishes and spending time with family and friends. My husband works at the U.S. Senate. We live in DC with our rescued pit bull named Potato. (We named her for her couch potato personality, but she prefers her nickname, “Tate”).
The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know my patients. The goal of my practice is to enable patients to live healthy, empowered and fulfilling lives.

The doctor ordered multiple blood tests without informing me—now I'm stuck with a huge lab bill. To make it worse, no one followed up with my results. I had to call two weeks later, only to be told the doctor hadn’t even looked at them. Completely unacceptable. Patients deserve transparency and proper communication.

Everyone in the office was very friendly and super helpful! I was a bit nervous since this was my first ever visit to a gynecologist but I quickly relaxed as they gave me time and space to get comfortable and made sure I felt okay throughout the whole process! Would def recommend to anyone that needs to go!

My physician was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and held my comfort in high regard. She answered all my questions and made sure I had all my concerns were attended to. The exams were very quick but efficient, and for the first time I didn’t experience severe pain during a pelvic examination.

Dr. Wade-Vuturo is phenomenal. She is caring and puts your at ease. I never feel rushed. I was able to get an appt within 48 hours after having an issue with my IUD. She was able to remove it for me, get another one ordered, and walked me through what to expect with my insurance to get the new one placed. She is the only gynecologist that accepts my insurance with good reviews, and she is worth the drive from NE DC. Can't recommend her enough!
