Getting to know Dr. Assaf Jaffe
Congratulations, starting the journey toward seeking help is one of the biggest steps. My name is Assaf Jaffe, and over the past 20 years, it has been my privilege to walk alongside clients working to make changes. I earned my PsyD in Mental Health Counseling from Alliant International University, San Diego Campus. Additionally, I trained in Holistic Therapy at the Native American Health Center, where I gained tremendous experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, and treating addictive disorders.
In these communities, I learned the importance of connecting with my clients on a deep interpersonal basis. I also discovered that having a variety of effective techniques to reduce symptoms and problems is vitally effective once a solid relationship is established.
As a strength-based psychologist, I strongly feel I can engage my clients in the aspects of their lives that are already most successful and utilize these tools to address their current problems. If you think solution-focused individual, couples, or family therapy can benefit you currently, I believe I am the ideal therapist for you.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients who I work with can expect to be supported in change and be encouraged to explore both their history and current situations for their own competencies. I provide a strong empathetic atmosphere and at the same time encourage responsibility, action and change I strongly believe in the therapeutic relationship and in my work believe connection is vital. I believe everyone is the expert of their own solutions. Some therapists claim to lead their clients into better heath. I consider it my honor and privilege to walk beside them on their journeys.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
