Dr. Audra Hewett prides herself on spending quality time with her patients, focusing closely on their concerns. From a young age, she always knew she wanted to be in healthcare. She believes that chiropractic is the perfect blend of medicine that facilitates the body's natural ability to heal. Born in Winter Haven, FL, Dr. Hewett attended the University of Tampa, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in pre-medical sciences. After working for three years alongside an exceptional medical doctor, volunteering weekly at Tampa General Hospital, and participating in numerous volunteer opportunities both locally in Tampa and in Guatemala with her family, Dr. Hewett decided to pursue her dream of helping others achieve optimal function and well-being-assisting people to live healthier, more active lives. That's when she discovered her passion for chiropractic care. Dr. Hewett graduated in 2017 from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Port Orange, Florida, earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She now practices in the beautiful Central Florida area. She is well-trained in Thompson Technique, Flexion-Distraction Technique, Palmer Package, Kinesio Taping, Graston Technique, Logan Basic, IASTM, and Activator Methods. Dr. Hewett loves to pursue further education and is currently in the process of earning her diplomate in internal medicine with a chiropractic perspective. She has also completed the prestigious Certified Independent Chiropractic Examiner (CICE) program. This certification distinguishes her among chiropractors, enabling her to thoroughly examine patients involved in automobile accidents, injuries, falls, and to evaluate permanent impairment reviews and cases. Dr. Hewett was nominated for Orlando Style Magazine's Top Tier Chiropractors in 2019 and Women In Medicine's Top Chiropractor in 2020.
