Call me for a free 15-minute consultation! Are you feeling stuck and unsure of how to get past symptoms of anxiety, depression, or trauma? It's common to experience mental health-related challenges in life and to need support at times. We're not born with a built-in understanding of how to be psychologically healthy, so sometimes it's a good idea to seek guidance from an unbiased professional. My ideal client is motivated to understand themselves better and to make the necessary adjustments to improve their quality of life. I hold a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Memphis and offer individual and couples therapy. I have specialty training in Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for depression. I have spent the majority of my career in an outpatient hospital setting and have expertise treating a wide range of presenting concerns, including relationship problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. You will never feel judged while working with me. My approach is to collaborate with clients by capitalizing on your expertise about your life and experiences paired with my expertise on how to facilitate change and/or provide support, empathy, and validation. With couples, I view the relationship as my client and am focused on being objective, not taking sides, and validating and respecting each individual's perspective about the relationship and what is causing the problems. Please be aware that, due to the nature of our specialty, Thrivemore Therapy, LLC does not prescribe medications. At this time, I only accept self-pay patients and am not in-network with any insurance plans. The initial session rate is $160.00. Ongoing/returning session rates are $150.00.
