About Dr. Bhumi Kinariwala
Dr. Bhumi Kinariwala is a fellow at Brinton Vision. “Dr. Bhumi,” as her patients and colleagues affectionately call her, grew up in New Jersey and moved to Pennsylvania for college, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Pennsylvania State University. She knew from an early age that she wanted to be a physician; she had always been interested in the sciences and wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. Dr. Bhumi went to medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where she was a member of the Hobart Amory Hare Society. During her training at Thomas Jefferson University, she was introduced to ophthalmology and fell in love with the field. She was amazed by the impact that eye surgery could have on a patient’s quality of life. At Thomas Jefferson University, she received an award for outstanding aptitude and excellence in ophthalmology. Dr. Bhumi went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at University at Buffalo and has now joined us at Brinton Vision for her refractive surgery fellowship.

Dr. Bhumi is thrilled to be doing her fellowship at Brinton Vision and to learn from Dr. Jason Brinton and his team about the latest in the field of refractive surgery. She was drawn to Brinton Vision upon seeing their individualized, patient-centered approach to refractive surgery and their consistent empathy towards patients. Additionally, Dr. Bhumi feels that being at Brinton Vision will allow her to get a vast range of exposure to all seven forms of vision correction procedures, using the most up-to-date technology.
In her free time, Dr. Bhumi enjoys biking, making ice cream, and exploring the city of St. Louis.
