As a physician myself, I really appreciated Dr. Criswell taking the time to examine my broken ankle and his good bedside manner, explaining the plan thoroughly and clearly. The office staff was also very friendly and professional. Larry, thestaff member who placed my cast was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable; had a great conversation with him while he casted my leg.

10 min in the lobby, 10 min. from treatment room to Xrays to treatment room, 15 min while Dr. Criswell and I read xrays. 20 min for treatment, prognosis and treatment planning. 55 min appointment, xrays, treatment, treatment planning and adisc with my images on it. Exceptional! The preliminary info gathering tool is a real pain in the butt!!! I hated every second of it.

I got my cast off today so it was very exciting, after 10 weeks! Dr. Criswell is a great doctor and the staff at Risset is excellent as well-Rochelle, Aisha, Lou, Larry, Jim-they’re all wonderful! Dr. Criswell also helped me witha problem I was having with my shoulder today. Sleeping on it was causing pain so he gave me a cortisone shot & PT prescription. I’m so grateful to Dr. Criswell & his staff for healing my ankles! What a stellar cast!

Everything went well, aside from Dr. Criswell making a comment about me coming in there "emotional." I was in major pain, and I did not find it very kind or professional to use that term.

Dr Chriswell, and his office/staff were all excellent. Dr Chriswell explained the procedure fully. His bedside manner is superb. Aishia, his assistant, is on top of everything. Now in recovery mode, they are all still on top of everything for me. The best!! Mark H/Arcadia, CA

Good visit, but I Wish the doctor would tell me the proper next step instruction and when my next appt. was. After my boot was place in my ankle. Everybody left the room and not one person informed me whether Iwas done or not. I waited there for 5min. Until my husband went and got the doctor assistant. Staff was nice and friendly.

This is my response 13 days later: I was glad that Dr. Criswell recommended the next step for treating my foot-wear a walking boot. But 10 days later no boot, so I called the doctor office and the very next daya boot was delivered to my house. But then I had the boot with no instructions on the best way to wear and use it. Finally, Isha, Dr. Criswell Nurse, called me to answer my questions and give me instructions, today.

Dr Criswell is and always will be my first in line choice if I should ever need ankle/foot surgery again. In the past, I never did reviews but, after a rather serious health issues, have felt that it is important tovoice my opinions whether positive or negative. the outcome of any surgery has a lot to do with the confidence you have in your surgeon and the attitude you bring into it from the start. In this case, I can say that I am 100% satisfied with Dr Criswell, Aisha and staff here. There was always service with a smile, paperwork and calls returned promptly and accommodations made. I am now back at the gym 6 weeks post surgery and pleased to say that this obstacle has been removed thanks to Dr, Criswell! A high five for Dr. Criswell!!,

Dr Criswell is happy to answer any questions you have about your X-rays or progress. He takes as much time as you need to be clear and understand your healing process. He is an upbeat person and always makes you feelthat things are not so grim even with a bad leg break that I suffered. He did an excelllent repair on a complicated break. I am very grateful for his skillful surgery!

Dr. Criswell is a very well-trained orthopedic physician in many types of injuries and seems to be more up to speed on some of the modern medical treatments and utilizes those treatments before recommending surgery. Although, having had anklesurgery due to a bad break, sometimes surgery is necessary to prepare the injury. Dr. Criswell is a very well trained orthopedic physician and I would recommend him highly.

My wait times at each visit (there were four) were no more than five minutes. Surprising for a doctor's office nowadays. At each visit, I was given a tablet to go through a list of symptoms and conditions. It seemed abother to do that at each visit. The first and the last (the follow-up appointment after the surgery) would have been sufficient, but it didn't take more than a couple minutes to get through the questions. Having the ability to pay with a credit card using the tablet is fine. Dr. Crisswell is very easy going, listens attentively and was able to bring the explanations of my problems down to my level of understanding. When it was time to start the surgery, he met with me before the procedure and asked if I had any questions. He patiently answered my questions, which helped me stay calm. During the follow-up appt, he patiently explained what he did, showed me photos of the injuries and showed me the finished results. He was thorough and patient. You can't ask for more than that from a doctor.

Very thorough cross-sectional MRI review and explanation of my condition, then recommended a non-surgical treatment. I wish I had seen Dr. Criswell at Risser Orthopaedics first. I highly recommend Dr. Braden Criswell and the staff at RisserOrthopaedics. Huntington Orthopedics fitted me with an oversized cam boot which caused me aches and pain, then after the MRI and review of only one side view image, recommended surgery.

Dr Crishwell has always been very professional and direct. Today's visit was no different. He reviewed my issues and had X-rays and came back and explained issues. He suggested procedures which I agreed to proceed. I have seen him on afew other occassions and follwed through with his directives. This was new issue due to a fall so I have complete confidence in him and will proceed as he has advised.

Dr. Criswell was excellent. I could tell that he truly cared about my problem and I got great vibes from him. He was competent, kind, and professional. I was impressed that they did an x-ray at the start of my appointment, and Dr. Criswell then used that x-ray as it was processed instantaneously. Very convenient how quick that was! I thought I'd have to get an x-ray then come back at a later date.

Dr. Criswell started to treat before he diagnosed and the treatment actually had other problems (more hurt after). I would have preferred to be diagnosed before treatment. Also, this appointment had to be reschedule on his end, which I understandhappens. But then I had to wait awhile to get seen and since I didn't really have much of a choice as to the time, I was almost late to my next thing.

I broke my ankle, the ER Physician recommended, I call Dr. Criswell immediately. I did, and I was given an appointment that same date. He took more x-rays and recommended surgery. I had surgery, 2 days later. I am amazed ofhow fast he attended to me, how well he explained my injury and the process that I would be going through. He called me!!! after surgery to make sure I was doing well. Now that I have my cast off, I can see the surgery scar. I am very pleased in how well he mended my skin that the scar is healing and becoming less visible. My Neurologist was also impressed of Dr. Criswell's work. I thank him for my speedy recovery, professionalism, and his amazing care. Also I want to acknowledge his Administrative assistant who answer all my questions and returned my calls immediately.
