Dr. Brent J. Oneal is a Licensed Psychologist in Washington State. In 2020 he was elected as a Fellow of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers and he holds professional memberships in a variety of organizations including the American Psychological Association, American Psychology-Law Society, and the Washington Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. Dr. Oneal also served as the Treasurer and on the Board of Directors of the Washington Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers between 2009 and 2012. He has published and presented work in the areas of forensic evaluation, risk assessment, developmental psychology, scale development, sexual-offense-specific evaluation and treatment, and medical psychology, and has been invited to guest review a number of academic and research works over the years. Dr. Oneal currently maintains a private practice in Seattle, WA, and specializes in a variety of forensic and clinical activities. In addition, he presently works as a court evaluator through adult inpatient psychiatry at Harborview Medical Center and a contract psychologist for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services/Division of Vocational Rehabilitation conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Oneal regularly testifies in State and Federal court and has worked hard to build a reputation of objectivity and credibility who is regularly called as an expert witness for defense and prosecution.
