After selling his practice in Montana, Dr. Baird moved to the sunny state of Arizona, where he purchased his current practice in Surprise in 2008. He continues to pursue his interest in glaucoma, working with patients at the Arizona Glaucoma Specialists one day a week. His optometric interests also include full-scope practice, where he enjoys seeing young patients as well. Dr. Baird has long been interested in dry eye disease. Due to the significant increase in electronic device use post-COVID and other contributing factors, 30 million Americans suffer from some form of the condition, making his experience in dry eye management an asset. Dr Baird started implementing ocular surface disease care in his primary clinic, The Village Eye Care, in 2017. Demand quickly grew, and West Valley Dry Eye (WVDE) opened its doors in June of 2022 to improve the lives of patients suffering from all forms of dry eye. West Valley Dry Eye is now expanding into a bigger clinic, focusing on more severe cases of this disease and ocular surface prep for various surgeries. Dr. Baird and his wife have 6 children and 3 grandchildren.
