“I saw Dr. Lakin-Starr for about 5 years at Masonic and she was truly an excellent therapist. As someone who worked in mental health and therapy, I felt she provided excellent care, taking into account my personality, education and experiences. She challenged me at times which I think is necessary to grow as a person, in individual and group therapy. I only did 1 group of hers (Psychodrama), for a short period of time and this helped me to see inside myself as well. She is very compassionate but also knows how to be direct in a professional manner. She has a wide range of experience in different modalities of psychiatric care and I would would highly recommend her to anyone, whatever treatment they require. ”

I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Lakin-Starr. Ive been a patient of hers for almost four years now and am happy I was able to follow her to her new practice. I was very against therapy just from my past experiences. They never really gave any insight into your problems or guidance on how to overcome or fix them. After a bad breakup it was recommended I try again. So I did and I couldn't be happier with the work Dr. Lakin-Starr has done with me over the years. She helped me develop a plan and skills I needed to get past the problems in my life. She is the only psychologist I have ever had that took the time to really get to know me and try to understand what I was and am still going through. She is very compassionate and easy to talk to. She does her work to help you but you also need to do a lot of work to help yourself. She always gives great guidance without being bossy although she will challenge you every now and then but in a good way. She will help you make connections between your past and how it affects you now. She's so good you'll eventually start making connections on your own. Again I cannot say enough good things about her and her practice. She has become an invaluable guide to help me get my life back on track.

Last year my family had the privilege of being patients of Dr. Britanny Lankin-Starr. She is very professional and trustworthy. Our family highly recommends her. She made a great impact in our lives.
I am so thankful to have found Dr. Lakin-Starr. She's so passionate, patient, and skilled when it comes to helping her patients. Not only has she impacted my life for the better, but I've seen her do the same for others during group therapy as well. I can't recommend her enough.
I would recommend anyone to see her. I was having panic attacks and did not even realize it. Not only did she diagnose what was happening, but she helped me work through them and showed me the tools to make them completely stop. She is very sympathetic and understanding and makes you feel comfortable and at ease.
Dr. Brittany Lakin-Starr is a caring and outstanding professional. Her manner is wonderfully kind, but she also means business and wants to understand and address each patient's reason for visiting. My wife and I deeply appreciated Dr. Lakin-Starr's successful assistance with our daughter. We have unqualified praise and respect for Dr. Brittany Lakin-Starr.
Dr. Lakin-Starr is a wonderful doctor and a human being. She not only helped my teenage daughter recover from her severe depression and ADHD, but she also helped us find several specialists to treat my daughter's multiple undiagnosed illnesses, ADHD and tinnitus. Now, my daughter is fully recovered from her depression and tinnitus as well as learned to accept and deal with her ADHD. My husband and I owe my daughter's life to Dr. Lakin-Starr. And for that, we will be forever grateful to her. We highly recommend Dr. Lakin-Starr.
