About Dr. Cara Simmonds
Dr. Simmonds was drawn to OBGYN because this field of medicine enabled her to have a lifelong relationship with her patients. She decided to limit her practice to Office Gynecology beginning in 2010 in order to spend more time with her 4 children.
Dr. Simmonds enjoys seeing patients of all ages, but especially enjoys working with adolescents and women experiencing perimenopause and menopause.
Dr. Simmonds is a North American Menopause Society member and a Menopause Practitioner. She also has a special interest in contraception and from 2018-2019 organized Medical Mission Trips to Costa Rica to provide contraception to underserved women. Dr. Simmonds serves on the board of The Allay Foundation which provides financial support to mothers suffering from mental health challenges.

I've been going to this practice since I was a 16 - close to 30 years! I've seen several doctors in the practice and adore them all. Dr. Cara Simmonds is so sweet and very easy to talk to. The entire staff is kind and attentive. I would be devastated if I ever had to go anywhere else.

I really liked Dr. Simmonds very much (our first appt). So friendly and helpful. I am very happy!
I'd like to offer one suggestion though - the bathroom wasn't esp clean, and that was a concern. It was 11:00 AM, so perhaps try to pay a little more attention to that...the urine cupboard was already fully with other cups; the board for the cups looked funky - partly from the ink pen, but it's time to refresh - and please get a little shelf or something for the soap - it dripped into the mirror and was hard to keep upright without touching it and the faucets much more than one wants to do these days. I'm sorry to go on about this, but have a public health background and probably would have felt compelled to comment even pre-Covid. I am sympathetic about how busy everyone is with all the new Covid-screening questions that have to be handled too. I'll be back, or wouldn't have bothered you with this. Thanks for asking for my opinions today. Everyone was nice - and that's very important too. A+ for that - to end on a positive note! Thank you!
