Getting to know Dr. Carolyn Greene

I am here to offer you help through life’s most difficult transitions. Anxiety, depression, past trauma, and current stressors can weigh us down. Sometimes, even positive changes, like pregnancy and postpartum, can be hard. While I can help clients with a variety of issues, my specialties include treatment of trauma/PTSD as well as mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I am grounded in psychodynamic relational theory and use a broad, integrative style to tailor therapy to the goals and needs of each individual. I will partner with you to develop and meet your treatment goals and help you feel like yourself again. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and hold a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. My training includes an internship in psychology at NYU Langone Hospitals, Rusk Rehabilitation, and a residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After our initial intake appointment, I encourage clients to meet with me weekly, at the same time each week, for a period of time to build rapport, routine, and momentum towards achieving psychotherapy goals. Our meetings may become less frequent with time. I work collaboratively with each client and tailor treatment to each client's specific therapy needs.
