Getting to know Dr. Cassandra Klyman
Dr. Klyman is a board-certified psychiatrist. Consistent with the philosophy of Happier Living, she believes that while not every client may require or benefit from psychotropic medication, every client benefits from therapy. This perspective influences her practice style.
Dr. Klyman is a Senior Psychiatrist/Analyst born, raised, and educated in Manhattan until love facilitated her transferring from NYU-Bellevue Medical School to the University of Michigan, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. She completed her psychiatric residency at Detroit Medical Center, Sinai-Grace Hospital, and graduated from the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute. She has maintained a psychodynamically informed private practice treating patients from age 9 to 92 while raising her own family and being active in psychiatric and medical politics at the local, state, and national levels. She was honored to be elected President of the Michigan Psychiatric Society and, before and after, chaired Legislative, Ethics, and Outreach Committees. A pioneer as a woman in her post-graduate studies, she held the door open for many women who followed. Teaching, presenting, and publishing locally, nationally, and internationally has been a continuing pleasure for her.
Her late husband, Calvin Klyman, a corporate attorney, made her comfortable with the legal process, and her present spouse of 20 years, Gabe Zawideh, opened her eyes to Middle Eastern customs. She has traveled extensively, reflective of her energy, curiosity, and love of learning.
In the last couple of decades, her practice has broadened to include forensic consulting and peer review.
Now, once again, love motivated her to relocate to Los Angeles. Her son is a partner at Gibson Dunn downtown, and Gabe's son's and daughter's families live in Portland, Oregon. Together, she and Gabe have four children, twelve grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

This practice seems completely unaware of anything booked through Zocdoc. I was not contacted whatsoever nor was I provided with any means of attending the visit I booked. Upon calling the number listed, I was directed to a robot who informed me there were no operators who could speak with me and then hung up on me. Total waste of time, don’t book through this site for this practice.

There seems to be something really wrong this clinic's scheduling. This is the second time this is happening to me. I got a coupe of calls asking me to finish my profile (uploading my insurance cards). I had 2 sets of texts oen for an appointment at 8:05 this morning and one for 3pm. It says every time that it's on;line appointment. I get no link to join. I called their number; there is absolutely no way to talk to a live person. It refers you back to their site. There is no email. If you try to respond to their email, it comes back as "no reply".
