“I can't thank Dr. Trivelli Daly enough for helping my teenage daughter through such a difficult time. The pandemic took a toll on all of our livelihoods and my daughter connected instantly with her and gave her an outlet where she could speak to someone she trusted. Getting to know Dr. Christina Trivelli

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a partnership designed to ignite the best of who you are. Together, let's create a space where you feel safe to explore, discover, and grow. Though I welcome clients from across the lifespan, I specialize in treating adolescent girls struggling with the complex thoughts and feelings that come with being a teenager in a complicated world. In addition to my private practice, I am a NYC school psychologist with experience in some of the city's most highly rated schools. I earned my PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Pace University, completing internships at AHRC New York City Family and Clinical Services and the Jewish Child Care Association. This training has enriched my understanding of child and adolescent development and informed my clinical approach. I take a collaborative approach with my clients through an integrative and relaxed style grounded in science but led by compassion, empathy, and humor. I commonly help clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, unhealthy patterns, and major life events. Our work will include identifying your personal goals and exploring how we can alleviate the obstacles standing in the way. Clients often leave our sessions with a sense of relief and, even more critically, hope.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I pull from evidence-based treatments including cognitive and psychodynamic therapies geared to target unhelpful thoughts, build up your coping skills or work through past and current patterns. Our work together will be as individualized to address your goals as we partner to alleviate the stress and pain you may be experiencing and find your joy. Though I take great strides to maintain a professional quality of care, you'll never feel like you're talking to a stranger.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Prior to your intake appointment, I appreciate the opportunity to have a 15-minute welcome phone call where you can share your most pressing reasons for wanting to engage in therapy and I can answer any questions you might have. From there I will send you a link to my secure client portal where you will find the necessary forms to complete at least 48 hours prior to your session. During our first few sessions, I will ask you open-ended questions and spend time getting to know you. While working together, you can expect to feel safe, seen, and fully embraced- just as you are. I look forward to connecting with you to learn how we can enhance your well-being together.
