What should a new client know about working with you?

I approach therapy with warmth and friendliness. I prioritize creating a safe and trauma-informed environment. While building rapport with my clients, I also stress the importance of accountability in therapy. To ensure continued progress, my sessions usually end with a growth work assignment aimed at helping clients practice the skills learned in therapy or process their thoughts and feelings.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At the beginning of the session, we usually start with a check-in to discuss how the week has been and whether the client has completed any growth work assignments. I will also provide psychoeducation on managing anxiety, stress, trauma, or other relevant emotional concerns as needed. In addition, we may practice experiential exercises such as breathing techniques and meditation in therapy if they support the client's growth plan.
