About Dr. Christina Woods
Christina Woods, MD, is a skilled OB/GYN at Axmann & Whitaker Gynecologic Associates in Plano, Texas. Dr. Woods grew up in North Dallas and attended J.J. Pearce High School.
She went on to graduate from Belmont University in Nashville with a Bachelor of Science in biology, followed by her medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. Dr. Woods eagerly returned to Dallas to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency with the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern at Parkland Hospital, where she gained a wealth of experience.
Dr. Woods has been a private practice board-certified OB/GYN in the Plano/Frisco area since 2012; however, she is now focusing her practice on the gynecologic needs of her patients. Dr. Woods feels privileged to continue her long-standing relationships with her patients and hopes to focus on mental and physical well-being, finding a healthy balance, and becoming your best self. Outside of work, Dr. Woods has two wonderful children, Michael and Katherine. She enjoys traveling, with hopes to visit all the National Parks in the coming years, in addition to reading, cooking, and helping with Boy Scout activities.

Honestly as a young woman I always always nervous about getting my yearly check ups. I know that its SO important for our health but the anxieties still persisted. I am so glad that I booked with Dr. Woods and her team. Yolanda made me especially comfortable.
Dr. Woods was such a great listener and I was touched with how much she cared about my health. We talked about all of my concerns as well as any future health care as well. If you're looking for an OBGYN I couldn't reccomend them enough. Looking forward to having a new wonderful healthcare team here!

Dr. Woods is amazing. I was seeing her to establish care as a new patient, but already had some health concerns that I wanted to discuss. She listened, reviewed my MRI images I brought and then had her staff reach out to the imaging center to get the full results reviewed and sent. She called me once the had the full report and discussed all the next steps. I am so glad I have found her!

I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Woods. She was incredibly professional, empathetic, and patient from the moment she walked in. She gave me all the time I needed to go through my health history and open up about concerns I’ve never felt comfortable sharing with an OB-GYN before.
I’ve been looking for a doctor who would really understand me and help me make sense of what I’ve been experiencing from my adolescence until now in my late 30s. This was the first time I truly felt I could do that. She validated things I’ve carried with me for years, gently corrected a few myths I’ve believed, and recommended blood work that was actually aligned with what I shared rather than the usual routine panels.
This didn’t feel like a one size fits all annual visit. It felt like an attentive physician meeting a concerned patient and doing everything she could to address every single question with professionalism, empathy, patience, and kindness.
