Collins Ezeuka, M.D. is an American physician-scientist known for his interdisciplinary research spanning cancer immunotherapy, cardiovascular biology, and biomedical engineering. He has conducted research at leading institutions including UCLA, City of Hope, Emory University, and Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Ezeuka completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in Neurobiology.
After earning his undergraduate degree, Dr. Ezeuka conducted cancer research at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, working under the mentorship of Dr. Dennis J. Slamon, M.D., Ph.D., a pioneering figure in the development of targeted therapies for breast cancer.
He continued his work in cancer immunotherapy as a pre-doctoral fellow at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), within the Department of Cancer Immunotherapeutics and Tumor Immunology. There, he conducted research under Dr. Andrew Raubitschek, M.D.
Dr. Ezeuka also completed scientific training at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where he studied cellular protein expression and analysis techniques.
Dr. Ezeuka earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College. He then completed his surgical internship at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and continued advanced surgical and medical training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
He later received a National Institutes of Health (NIH) postdoctoral fellowship, where his research focused on the role of microRNAs in endothelial inflammation, cardiac development, pluripotent stem cell biology, and biomechanical forces such as shear stress in vascular pathology, including atherosclerosis and hematologic malignancies.
Dr. Ezeuka subsequently completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Biology at Emory University, while simultaneously conducting research at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the Department of Biomedical Engineering,

The front desk staff woman was the most unpleasant person I have ever had an interaction with. She was rude and incredibly disrespectful. The office told me they took Apple Pay as a form of payment option for the office prior to arriving yet when I got there I was informed only cash or card. No patients in waiting room but told me I couldn’t go take cash out and the Wawa next door bc I’d then miss my “grace period” after driving 45 mins to this appointment and then talking to them for the majority of my “grace period” I asked to speak to a manager and they told me there was no one to speak to and I said I’d wait. She said “you’ll be waiting all day then” i asked her name and she said don’t worry about it!! I would never recommend this office. Save yourself time and energy and go somewhere else.

My appointment was cancelled without reason and then I got an appointment the next day. There was no one else in the waiting room. My conversation with the Doctor was pleasant. It felt strange that at the end they had me write down my previous doctors information on a piece of paper. I was thinking it should have been a consent form.

The office was clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating given the fact the appointment from ZocDoc wasn't showing on their end. They were happy to fit me in to be seen with the doctor at the time I scheduled online. The Doctor was kind and attentive, and was jotting down all my concerns. Well worth the drive across the Skyway to be treated so great! I would recommend waiting until the office calls to confirm the appointment before heading to your appointment, but that is my only complaint.

Thorough…thorough…thorough! Dr. Ezeuka is not only friendly, but he is a great listener and communicator. Explains everything thoroughly and you will not leave his presence confused or having felt rushed…Nope! I got the impression that he treats his patients as he would like to be treated if he were the patient. I had been PCP shopping since moving to FL recently… I will be keeping him as my PCP as I have no need to look further. Finally found a professional and human being who you are not just a number to. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention his assistant/office staff… just wonderful!

A wonderful experience with a caring staff. The doctor was attentive to why I came, but talked directly to me about my personal medical history. Explained and laid out a plan for what WE were going to do next to ensure I would feel better. I am soooo happy with experience. I'm recommending toy family! They take insurance but it was not more important than the people. And this Doctor has credentials that are so impressive... I am humbled by his humanity.

This doctor runs out of a strip mall in a rundown office space, and he treats his patients accordingly. He’s a narcissist to think he knows everything and does not listen only speaks. I seriously think that this man thinks his voice is the greatest thing because he spoke about 95% and I spoke about 5%. He did not listen he Had to tell me about every medical procedure and diagnosis known demand. Most of which were completely irrelevant to me. And once it came for me to actually tell him what I needed and how I have been operating for years, he refused to acknowledge me as a capable Person and instead told me he was smarter than me. A knew more about my body than I did. I would never in 1 million years step foot in the office again. Stay far away if you actually want help. ?

The only issue that was frustrating was the Zocdoc admin process, that was not mandated until arriving at the officen - it had to be completed on one's cell phone, - not possible to fill out all the details - frustrating, an hour long delay, and no meaningful data supplied until meeting with the doctor. Otherwise, the staff was professional, but unable to change that requirement - Nevertheless, I have only the best to say about their supportive and kind demeanor. The process just needs to be modified.

How pleasant to finally have a doctor, who looks you in the eye, gives you the info that you need in a way that you can understand, without making you feel stupid. Finding a great doctor is one of the most difficult things we go through when relocating to a new area. Dr. Ezeuka took the time with me, went over the most important parts of my medical history, and actually LISTENED. Many doctors will just 'get you in and get you out' without being attentive to what you say. It was refreshing to know that there is someone who cares enough to take the time. Good sense of humor and is very personable. My visit with him was well worth the wait.
