“I cannot recall the last time I saw an opthalmologist, but when I need to go back, I will definitely be using Lakeway Eye. The opthalmic assistant for Dr. Stancey was AMAZING and was more helpful in crafting an updated perscription for my vision than the optometrist I saw two years ago. Everyone involved was ready to answer all my questions and kept me truly informed about the testing we had just completed. It's a breath of fresh air anytime seeing a doctor doesn't raise my anxiety, so this was a great experience. ”

About Dr. Corina Stancey
Dr. Stancey is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Association and the Texas Ophthalmological Association. She was the first Ophthalmologist to open a practice in the city of Lakeway.
Dr. Stancey specializes in Cataract surgery, Oculoplastics and general Ophthalmology.
Dr. Stancey graduated cum laude from Bucknell University and with honors from the Medical College of Ohio. She went on to complete her Ophthalmology residency at Boston University, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Stancey also completed a fellowship training in Oculoplastics at the University of Montreal. She practiced in Massachusetts for several years before moving to Austin to be closer to her family.
Outside of her active medical career, Dr. Stancey enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and riding horses. She has a huge heart full of compassion and supports local animal rescues as well as having many rescued animals of her own.

I waited 2 months to see this dr.
Booked my appointment to discuss specific problem from which I was greatly suffering.
Wound up with services I didn't book.
The issues I made the visit for were shrugged off with no treatment.
The dr doubted me as if I knew nothing about myself.
Now I must start over and look for an eye dr who will address what I am suffering from.

The doctor was in a big hurry, was rushing, and not friendly. I waited months for this appointment only so I was very disappointed by her mannerisms. She treated me as if my questions/comments were stupid. I have gone there for years, so was not happy with the way I was treated. Poor bedside manner. Maybe she was having an off day, but for someone who does surgery, that is a bad feeling to get from a doctor. I also think the front desk person is not very friendly. I definitely am not treated like a customer/consumer. They make a patient feel like they are a bother to them. I also had not been seen in years and then learned a had credit there. Why was this money never returned to me? Disappointed and will not remain a customer after this appointment.
