Getting to know Dr. Cynthia A Bailey

Hi there! A lot of people think therapy is a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity to experience each other as real people. My clients know that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve your goals, learn more about yourself, and understand how your mind and brain work. While progressing along this path, you will enjoy the process of learning about yourself and perceiving yourself in new ways. My experience is that therapy doesn't need to be painful. I hold a PhD in Psychology from the University of Houston, Downtown, and my background is in neuropsychology. I enjoy helping people understand how their brains work to find the best way to manage anxiety, depression, and just plain dealing with life!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have been a therapist for 25+ years, and I have helped people figure themselves out and find solutions to their problems. I have trained other therapists, and worked with individuals from all walks of life. I have worked a lot with people dealing with loved ones who have brain disorders (head trauma, strokes, dementia). Life is too short to deal with bad relationships, grudges, anxiety, anger and depression. I want you to be in control of your emotions instead of letting them control you, and find purpose and meaning in your life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
