I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University and completed my residency in Family Practice at Westchester General Hospital. My passion for medicine stems from my desire to alleviate suffering in others in whatever capacity I can. I am passionate about advocating health practices and preventive medicine to help my patients prevent chronic diseases.
The role of a primary care provider is to be a true advocate for patients, to educate them, and to provide holistic and comprehensive care.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, outdoor biking, and reading about personal growth and development.

Dr. Alavarez was very thorough and knowledgeable. I had a great experience with her. I felt she paid attention and gave the care required taking her time to pay attention to the details and giving me an actionable plan to take care of the problem that’s been bothering me for years. Other doctors used to just see me for 5 mins and make a diagnosis without hearing everything. Dr. Alvarez knew exactly what questions to ask me and she took the time to explain anything I had a misunderstanding of in simple terms so I could understand accurately what’s going on with my body.

Disappointed but not surprised. She seemed very impatient and almost like I was an annoyance. Answered the phone on speakerphone… during our meeting. And made assumptions because of my symptoms hastily. Probably not doing another online doctors appointment again.

She was very thorough and I’ve been to several doctors, 2 ENT, 1 allergist, 2 dermatologist and my PCP for my ear issues and NOT one has said anything about it possibly being a fungus and she ask me to have them check for that and did a referral to a ENT near me! I am VERY appreciative of that! I never had this issue until I moved to the hill country in Texas. It’s bad! She’s a good doctor. Thank You!

It was ok. The doc was a bit late and I don’t feel like it was as great as in person. It seemed very robotic. She was very nice, but I’m not sure that I’ll proceed forward with her. It seemed like she was just reading questions and didn’t ask about my anxiety.

Although the visit was average, I was told to schedule an anual health exam to discuss some of my health concerns. After scheduling online at a time that the doctor listed as available, my appointment was cancelled the next day and I was informed via email. After rescheduling, I attended my online visit, waited for 20 minutes, and then was informed via text by a secretary that my appointment was cancelled due to technical issues. I understand that things like this happen, but since it was after the appointment was supposed to begin I would expect a phone call and to have my appointment rescheduled during the call or have the appointment over the phone instead. This may be my personal preference, I just felt that my time wasn’t valued and the cancellation of my appointments was not handled well.
