Dr. Cynthia A. Boxrud is a medical specialist and one of only 4% of female surgeons in the United States who holds two “fellowships,” medicine’s most advanced formal training. A 1978 graduate of Manhattan School of Music, New York City, she spent several years conducting as a professional. She is an accomplished pianist who has written a number of compositions.
She completed pre-medical school at Columbia University, medical school at Case Western Reserve University, and did her residency in Ophthalmology at New York University. Dr. Boxrud completed her first fellowship in orbital surgery and Ophthalmic Oncology at New York Hospital/Cornell in New York, and the second in Orbital Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA in Los Angeles.

Dr. Cynthia Boxrud is an exceptional oculoplastic surgeon. I came to her for blepharoplasty to address droopy lids, and the results were amazing—natural, refreshed, and exactly what I hoped for. She also did Botox and filler. Her expertise, especially around the eyes, is unmatched. Highly recommend!
