He was very easy to talk to. Only had one visit though so can't really comment beyond that.

Great- Dan is very patient and knowledgeable, therefore, he is very supportive and helpful with my anxiety.
It was great. Dan is masterfully talented at what he does. He has been my therapist for 2 years.
I felt like I wasted my time. He finished the session abruptly. It was less than 35min or so.

Dr. Dan has been an absolute lifeline for me over the past year +. His compassionate, insightful approach has helped me navigate a whirlwind of challenges—everything from personal struggles and family conflicts to social anxieties and tough business decisions. He has an incredible ability to listen deeply, offer fresh perspectives, and guide me toward solutions that feel authentic to who I am. I’ve grown so much with his support, and I can’t recommend him highly enough to anyone looking for a skilled and caring psychologist! He is an amazing person and professional and while it’s my pleasure to sing his praises, I hope he doesn’t become too busy with new patients to see me in the future! ??

Dan was a great listener, and I only booked two sessions with him as my first time taking therapy however, I feel like he could have provided more insight and be more of a communicator. If you want a therapist that primarily listen to you, he will be your guy, but if you’re looking for a guide, he may not be the right fit for you. ?

Dan is a steady hand in a storm. He listens like the ocean—calm, constant, and without judgment. His words are few but land like rain after a drought, bringing clarity where there was once confusion. With Dan, the weight doesn’t vanish, but you find the strength to set it down and face it. He’s a guide through life’s chaos, teaching you not to fear the storm but to navigate it. If you’re lost, Dan is the lantern you need.

Well, I just had my 1st appointment with Dan. I was comfortable from the beginning which is a challenge for me. So comfortable that I did not want to wait till next week for another visit. So I reached out right away. He was able to accommodate me and see me in two days. I can update this later. But I have a very good feeling.

Our first meeting was very easy. He is non-judgemental and quick on his feet. His ability to read between the lines helped me figure out a few issues I was dealing with in just one session. Looking forward to the next.

Dan is great. Very good listener - offers patient thoughtful guidance and advice. Be prepared to do most of the heavy lifting and soul searching on your own with him as a guide - his process is to help you uncover the things holding you back through journal keeping, meditation and self reflection, so you’ll be doing most of the talking during these sessions. Not for everyone but all and all he’s a good man and helpful if you’re down for his approach to self-discovery.

Has a mocking tone whenever one talks to him about serious things. This is increadible irresponsable for someone who you have too trust with your feelings and problems. Doesn't offer advice. Just tries to keep you talking till your time runs out.
Dr. Dan Sharir is easy to talk to and I never feel pressured at our appointments. He does not push me to do things I do not want to, and provides alternative methods for treatment that I can accept. He is very good at explaining things in a way that I can understand and seems very passionate about what he does. Definitely reccomend :)

My wife and I have been seeing Dan for a little over two years and I have to say as a Doctor and therapist his demeanor and manner are outstanding. He will listen all session if needed and provide suggestion and techniques for destressing and disengaging from stressors. He also makes time for you 24hrs. a day and is genuine with his empathy, compassion, overall caring about you and your family's health and well being there where many instances where Dan has made himself available around the clock for my wife and I on his own personal time and not getting paid for it. Honestly speaking I don't know anyone who will truly go to the depths of getting your mental health and life in order. I truly appreciate Dr. Sharir as a Doctor and as a person and I would most certainly recommend him to anyone who is in need of treatment.

I've been Dan's patient for over a year. He is thoughtful, professional, and a great therapist. He's also a professor who teaches other therapists, so I've found that background helpful when asking him for strategies and tools for use in my daily life. His office is great, both for its location and amenities. 34th St is easy to access via mass transit. And the building itself always has front desk staff on the first floor and another for his office area which is designed for therapy. Dan's very easy to reach via e-mail, text, or phone. Scheduling with him is always easy and reliable. He has my full recommendation.
Dr. Sharir is great! I spent about 5 months trying out different therapist/psychiatrists and finally found one that is really helpful! -Not to mention the no wait time :) I've seen him three times so far and always leave feeling like I got a lot out of our visits. The things we discuss stick with me. He steers away from labels and focuses more on the cognitive behavioral approach which I like (and need)!

I highly recommend Dr. Sharir. He is insightful and has many techniques and exercises in cognitive therapy. Working on the mind and rewiring the brain is an ongoing process which takes time and work. He is a great listener and supplies his patients with excellent tools to help you grow and succeed in life. He is pleasant, respectful, and professional.

I've had the opportunity to work with Dr. Sharir for a while now. I always leave his office with positivity and feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I find him to be knowledgeable, insightful, intuitive and respectful. I highly recommend him to anyone who is seeking help from a psychologist.

He didn’t listen to me or help me at all when I asked him straight forward questions. He just shrugged and told me ‘that’s the way things are’ when I was there specifically to get help dealing with sexism. As a mental health professional, I expected him to give me tools and resources to help me deal with every day sexism and all he said was ‘that’s the way things are and people aren’t going to change.’ Completely unhelpful and a waste of money. Zocdoc also said he was covered by my insurance but when I got there he charged me an extra money out of pocket. I will never go back to this man, nor will I recommend him to anyone. As someone who is dealing with sexism and male condescension on an everyday basis, this man made those problems worse instead of helping me through them. Disgusted and livid.
I always learn something when I see Dan. He helps me deal with the here and now- how to deal with my life now. He is great at brainstorming strategies to help me find a way that I can better cope with my particular problems or behavior. Totally better cope with my particular problems or behavior. Totally non judgmental, totally accepting- I usually hate therapy but with Dan I usually want to come to my session.
Absolutly amazing at what he does. He makes you feel like your just talking to a friend, yet your life starts to get better. Cool guy!
Dan really listens to what you have to say & it's clear he is passionate about what he does. I find that it's helpful when you actually look forward to going to therapy & talking about your problems/concerns. Also: become more self-aware in the process (which I find to be a very helpful trait).
It was great. Dan is very helpful and comfortable to talk to. He really helps unpack thoughts and listens very closely while I talk.
My visit is always great. Dr. Sharir is always on time with his appointments and is very accommodating. I truly feel better everytime our sessions are complete and I am noticing positive changes in my behavior and outlook on life in general. I would most definitely recommend.
