“This was my first appt with Dr Collins and she blew me away she made me feel like yes I made the right decision by booking with her and choosing her to be my new PCP. Walking in her office gave me the small family like practice which I prefer not a big commercial office. I waited maybe tops 3 mins before I was placed in a room. I was instantly greeted and acknowledged. She was so down to earth and super friendly. I instantly felt comfortable. She took her time with me I didn’t Feel rushed I was able to address everything I wanted to without being dismissed like some Doctors tend to do patients. Dr Collins was the amazing I finally found a PCP that I feel like she has my best interest as a whole. Thank you Dr Collins I look Forward to seeing her again.”

“I went to a Patient First due to some pain I was experiencing. I was referred to a specialist and from there had subsequent appointments and even a procedure done to determine the issue. The cause was not identified. After seeing Dana Collins, she was able to determine that two separate issues were happening, one of which she diagnosed almost immediately. I now have scans to get and will be going back for a follow-up. I should have gone to her first; I won't make that mistake again. Excellent Provider.”

About Dana Collins
In addition to my practice at Resilience Healthcare, I teach nursing students at Bowie State University. I have spent the last 20 years providing urgent care and ER services at Providence Hospital Washington DC, Laurel Regional Hospital, MD, and the Washington Hospital Center.
I have also worked over 10 years in Family Practice, Orthopedics, Diabetes Education, and caring for the elderly in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities at Kaiser Permanente, where I served as a Lead Nurse and Patient Care Coordinator.
I hold an Associate's degree from the University of the District of Columbia, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from American Sentinel University (2015), and a Bachelor's degree from Post University. I earned my Master's degree in Nursing Education from Bowie State University in 2019 and completed a Post-Master's Certificate in Family Nursing at Chamberlain University in 2022.

I was very disappointed in this office. I drove an hour round-trip to find that the office was closed. I arrived at 7:20pm to a poorly lit garage and was very afraid and horrified when I found the office was closed. I left a message and the next day was contacted by the office saying they had sent 2 text messages. When I stated that I did not receive the messages I asked why I wasn't contacted by phone, the same response was provide that 2 text messages were sent. I have decided not to put my medical well-being in the hands of this practice.

I hate going to the doctors…and I have horrible white coat syndrome! But Dr.Collins was such a fun and likable person that I wasn’t even nervous and I had a normal blood pressure reading!! It was my first appointment ever and I felt like I was talking to a friend. Highly recommend!
