In 2011, she was honored with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Cervical Cancer Prevention Award for her work with cancer survivors. Over her years of practice, she has been recognized by several organizations for her compassionate care of patients. Dr. Shanis is passionate about empowering all women to improve their quality of life through evidence-based treatments, along with education and support, and a sense of humor.
