Getting to know Dr. D'Ann Downey

I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 40 years; 20 of that as a licensed clinical social worker and 20+ as a clinical psychologist. The combination of those two degrees has been invaluable for me. With my social work background I learned much about family systems theory. With my doctorate in psychology I obtained more knowledge in depth of personality development. I think in terms of the early developmental years and how they impact who we are and our life choices. We may not be able to change others but we can change ourselves and therefore feel happier and more fulfilled.
