About Dr. Daphne Yen-Douangmala
Dr. Yen is originally from the East Coast and was born in Queens, New York. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from the University of Arizona and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors before attending Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. After receiving her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine, she moved to the Bay Area, where she completed her three year surgical residency at Kaiser North Bay Consortium. She served as chief resident in Foot and Ankle Surgery with an emphasis on lower extremity diabetic limb salvage, wound care, trauma, as well as forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Yen believes all of her patients deserve the highest level of care and is committed to giving each patient individualized attention. She is passionate about helping people with their foot and ankle ailments to maintain a healthy lifestyle and looks forward to treating patients.
Dr. Yen is board qualified with the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and member of the California Podiatric Medical Association. She is on medical staff at Anaheim Regional Medical Center.
In her free time, Dr. Yen enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children. They enjoy going to Disneyland and attending Dodger games. She also enjoys staying active by running and playing golf.Dr. Yen is able to speak Spanish and Mandarin.

Had a great experience with Dr. Yen. She asked me my history and carefully went over my x-rays with me, listened and answered all of my questions and gave me options for care and exercises for me to do at home. Her assistants and office staff are all kind and courteous. will continue to see her for any foot issues.

From examining my foot, Dr. Yen was confident in making a clear diagnosis. She confirmed it with an X-ray, explained the type of injury, showed me how to split and treat it, asked if I had any questions, had me make a follow up appointment and I was on my way. Chairside manner was excellent and I would highly recommend her!

I picked Dr Yen, because I wanted a smart lady who worked in a specific specialty of podiatry. I have Kaiser insurance but had a 2 month wait to see my podiatrist. I got in next day at Foot and Ankle group. I paid out of pocket for my visit but it was worth it to get started on a recovery plan sooner. I actually like Dr Yen better than my Kaiser Dr, and will go back for my follow appointment with her. You feel like cattle in a Shute at Kaiser but not at this place .

Dr. Daphne readily recognized what was happening with my foot (my 2nd visit) and taught me how to use padding properly (I had unknowingly been doing it wrong for months!). I consider her a critical part of my training team for my upcoming Paris marathon in April.

Dr. Daphne (and the entire team) were so kind and helpful. I visited for a foot injury and rather than immediately suggesting a cortisone shot, she wanted to find out the root cause. She was extremely thorough, listened to my concerns and even took x-rays to ensure nothing was wrong with my bones. If you’re having foot issues, do yourself a favor and see Dr. Daphne!

I was in pain and was looking for a Dr that would have a soft touch. Dr. Yen was incredible. Found problem, corrected it, and all without pain. I highly recommend. Ease of using Zocdoc to get appointment was very nice!
