Dr. Dariush Fathi, a licensed clinical psychologist, is based in Fairfield County and provides online therapy to clients across Connecticut and New York. He works collaboratively with adults, couples and teens helping them overcome personal roadblocks, emotional challenges, and behaviors they want to change.
He earned a master's degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Fathi has worked in various clinical settings, including private practice in Darien and as the director of an inter-disciplinary health center in Danbury where he provides training and supervision to psychologists and therapists. At Psych Fitness One, he offers clients compassionate, confidential and effective therapy solutions tailored to meet clients' needs.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Dr. Fathi uses a unique approach that involves helping clients uncover and resolve the root cause of their issues - how and why the problems developed in the first place - and teaches skills and practical ways to manage problems in the present. With advanced up-to-date training in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy, Dr. Dariush Fathi provides an integrated and tailored approach to helping clients achieve their mental health goals.
Please note that all new patients are required to review and complete all practice forms at least 24h before their appointment, and have a credit car on file for processing payments.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I use talk therapy. My sessions are collaborative and supportive. Think of working with me like having a personal trainer, but for your brain and relationships.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $250 for 50 minutes
Ongoing session: $250-280 for 50 minutes

I am out of network with insurance providers. I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement upon request. Clients are required to have a credit card on file for processing payments. Payments are due at the time of service.
