About Dr. David Dow

Dr. Dow's mission is to help as many people as possible in Madison reach their full health potential. He specializes in natural health and life extension using various evidence-based and holistic methods. He graduated from the prestigious Northwestern Health Sciences University with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, including subspecialties in Acupuncture and Spinal Rehabilitation. Afterward, he pursued a Certificate of Mastery in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, attending evenings and weekends for three and a half years. Originally, Dr. Dow was pursuing a finance degree at Arizona State University when it became clear that his own experiences with pain were guiding his path. He suffered back pain from a fractured pelvis at age seven, upper back pain with associated heartburn from a trampoline accident at fourteen, and lower back pain from a spina bifida occulta birth defect, aggravated by numerous cumulative head, neck, and back training injuries. These challenges led him to chiropractic and acupuncture, where he realized the importance of addressing the root cause of pain. He vowed to learn everything he could about the human body to help others in pain. During his studies, he was heavily involved in various technique clubs and continued to study martial arts. After his residency, he completed hundreds of hours of postgraduate education in pain management and rehabilitation, focusing on evaluating and treating nerve, muscle, and joint injuries from automotive accidents to sports injuries. While treating patients, Dr. Dow noticed significant differences in healing times. Those with better posture, balance, and coordination recovered much more quickly, while others healed slowly or not at all. This observation continues to inform his holistic approach to care.
