I arrived on time for my appointment but was told my insurance was not accepted, even though I had verified my coverage beforehand and there were no conflicts. It took about an hour for them to validate my insurance, after which they still confirmed it was out of network. I was willing to proceed and pay out of pocket since I urgently needed a consultation. However, I was then informed that I might have to wait even longer to see if they could “squeeze me in,” despite my appointment being scheduled for 10:45 and already well past that time. Given the uncertainty and delay—despite agreeing to the high out-of-pocket cost—I had to cancel and find another provider. Both the clinic’s website and Zocdoc indicated that my insurance was accepted, which made this experience especially frustrating.

Had a recent visit there and the in office experience was good. But just received my bill and it was extremely expensive. The doctor wouldn’t tell you the cost of allergy test beforehand and that’s a surprise factor.

Staff is polite, amazing.
I have been plagued with worsening allergies and asthma for years. Dr. Frankel is the ONLY allergist who took the time to “peel the layers of the onion”, reviewing my history and lab results and make a proper diagnosis.
This is after 35 years!

First time visiting this office. The staff was very friendly. I was very impressed by the fact that every person I came in contact with made a good attempt at trying to pronounce my name correctly (which most people don’t). Friendly staff, friendly doc and great listeners! As a first time patient, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to do the whole visit in under 40 min! I also didn’t feel rushed. After years of not knowing what caused my hives and even having another allergist tell me he didn’t know, I was finally able to get answers. Hoping my treatment plan works! Great doctor! Really clear communicator! But front staff just gives you a blank stare and glares if you ask them anything. I would love to come get my allergy shots here, but the thought of having to deal with the front staff 2-3 times a week is not worth it to me!

My recent experience with Dr. Frankel left me feeling extremely disappointed and misled. After undergoing an allergy skin test, I received a shocking bill which my insurance barely covered. Dr. Frankel failed to disclose the test's cost and the fact that it doesn't work on 10-15% of people during the initial consultation, crucial information that would have influenced my decision.
Attempts to seek guidance were met with silence from him, and communication with the practice manager became increasingly difficult, leaving me feeling abandoned and frustrated.
I am now compelled to file an official complaint as the lack of transparency, communication, and accountability in this experience is entirely unacceptable.
I hope that Dr. Frankel addresses these issues and improves his patient care practices in the future.
