Getting to know David Kunkel

We all struggle sometimes. It's part of being human. But we also have the ability to learn, grow, and change. Whether you are dealing with problem anger, depression, anxiety, or relationship issues, I can help you achieve your goals. Together, we will work to increase your self-esteem, improve your relationships, and achieve greater life satisfaction. I have over 30 years of experience helping individuals and couples with a wide variety of issues. One focus of my practice has been helping men and women manage anger more effectively. I offer both group and individual therapy to help you understand the source of your anger and develop skills to deal with it in more helpful ways. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University and am a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania. I currently offer telehealth appointments exclusively for your convenience. I look forward to talking with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Being heard and understood are important parts of your relationship with a therapist. Venting about your struggles has its place as well. Ultimately though, you want life to be better and that requires behaving and/or thinking in different ways. In our sessions, we will identify what keeps you stuck and come up with practical solutions to promote that change.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
