David Magnesen, DPM, has over 20 years of experience in diagnosing and treating all injuries and conditions that affect the lower extremities. He provides integrative podiatric care at Southwest Foot & Ankle in St. George, Utah, Ely, Nevada, and Caliente, Nevada. Dr. Magnesen completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, where he was awarded a Trustee Scholarship. He was then accepted into graduate school and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in San Francisco. After graduation, Dr. Magnesen was accepted into a competitive podiatric residency program at the Lakewood Regional Medical Center in California. To ensure he’s always available to his patients and to be able to provide personalized medical care, Dr. Magnesen went on to work in private practice. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Magnesen can communicate with diverse groups of people. He likes to spend time getting to know his patients and their families so he can build lasting relationships. When he’s not busy caring for patients, Dr. Magnesen enjoys staying active by running. He also follows his favorite BYU football and basketball teams around the country. Dr. Magnesen and his wife have one son and three daughters.
