About Dr. David Nigen
David L. Nigen, M.D., is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He treats all athletic injuries and trauma to both the upper and lower extremities.
Dr. Nigen completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and served as chief resident in Orthopedic surgery at the University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital, one of the best trauma centers in the country. Dr.Nigen has served as an assistant team physician for the New York Jets and New York Islanders, and has also provided care to the University of Miami Hurricane football, basketball, and soccer teams, and the Miami Marlins baseball team.
Dr. Nigen graduated in the top of his class at Florida State University College of Medicine after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Florida.
Dr. Nigen has authored orthopedic research papers and given countless presentations around the country regarding sports injuries and surgeries. He enjoys volunteering in Vietnam where he operates and teaches local surgeons.

Amazing doctor! I have not seen a doctor with the enthusiasm of Dr. Nigen in a while. He took his time to explain the images of the MRI, answered all my questions related to the injury, and took his time to answer other issues I had. Don't look around for another doctor; he is the real thing.

Well organized center. Wait time: 30' (Super fast compared to any other health center in the US probably). European insurance: accepted, no confusions, no complications.

I can't say enough about Dr. Nigen. Kind, smart, thoughtful and patient. He answered all my questions, never spoke down to me, showed that he cared more about my well being than about him being able to do a surgery or not (as many surgeons do). A model of how doctors should be.
