About Dr. David Schwarzbaum
Dr. David Schwarzbaum attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and his fellowship in gastroenterology at New York Presbyterian Queens.
Dr. Schwarzbaum is a compassionate physician who believes in establishing strong relationships with his patients. Everything was great except for there’s no clear signs on the front door so I was having difficulty in finding the doctor office.
And there’s this one young lady sitting at the front desk, who is not very friendly she just sat there with a straight face, no greeting no smile nothing.

It’s in a new building… the entrance is on the back side of the building and then on the 3rd floor.
Getting there is a bit bleh because of the renovations but the office is clean and new. Dr David is easy to talk to, experienced, and super Knowledgeable. I honestly expected him to be old and his photo to be old, but he’s a lot younger than I thought he would be. He’s still super knowledgeable and listened and asked questions, answered my questions, and let me know his thoughts and walked me through what was going to happen which I appreciated.
The front desk is mostly friendly, especially the check in lady. But the energy in there is chill but a little meh. Kind of like the patients and staff don’t really want to be there, which I guess is understandable… nobody wants to be sick or work lol… but if someone smiles at you, you should send a reassuring smile back. Or maybe that’s just the Midwest in me and I’m asking for too much lol!

Dr. David Schwarzbaum is absolutely incredible and I would recommend him to absolutely anyone who needs a GI doctor. Because of the absolute excellence and brilliance of Dr. Schwarzbaum, I entered remission from my flare up within days, and I am usually in the hospital for several weeks before my symptoms begin to improve in the slightest. I've been struggling with chronic stomach issues for months, and doctor after doctor have done nothing to actually figure out the root of my issues. This was the first doctor to go beyond recommending me basic anti-emetics that merely put a bandaid on a chronic issue. Dr. Schwarzbaum actually put in the effort to understand my experiences and treat me accordingly in ways that would actually prevent flare ups the condition outright. He was an incredible listener and supported his medical insight with empathy and compassion. Later in the evening, I had a problem at the pharmacy picking up the prescription, and I called the office, but since it was after hours, I left a voicemail in order to contact the doctor. Even though it was after hours and I was not expecting to hear back from him until the next day, he called me back directly within 15 minutes and had the issue immediately resolved. I will definitely be returning to him, and cannot express enough how much he helped me. All doctors should model themselves after him!!!!!
