Dr. Gates IS AWESOME! I drive almost 30 minutes just to see her, she really is an amazing doctor.
I was having an eye issue and had seen a doctor here in The Woodlands, but when the issue persisted, I knew I needed to see somebody different.
Enter stage left, Dr. Gates!
She immediately knew what was wrong, help me fix the situation, and told me how to prevent it from happening in the future.
I was in so much pain and I walked out of my appointment pain free!

Dr. Gates is the best! She is always so upbeat and friendly. She took time to make sure that my exam was done properly (the lens kept fogging up because of me having to wear a mask) and accurately. I highly recommend her.

Such a professional, friendly, engaging experience with Dr. Deanna Gates. She was so patient and SO thorough. Doctors have to see a lot of people daily, yet I was so pleased with her genuine enjoyment, and excellence, in giving me the best care I could get. She didn’t just look at my scans/photos with a turned away computer and say “looks good!”. She walked through them with me, with my photos on her screen right in front of me, and explained the anatomy of my eyes, what each thing I was looking at was, and why it was looking good. I left with a true understanding of my health, and didn’t doubt for a second that I was getting an incredible level of care. Best experience!
This is the best, most thorough and efficient visit to a DOCTOR that I’ve ever had! Eye Doctor, Care Physician, anything. The team took so much time in giving me the best results I could get. I saw three different people at different stages of my visit, and EACH one of them was so friendly, engaging, patient, and professional. Even gave me trial contacts, and ordered another type of trial contacts for me to pick up and try after, to make sure I would ultimately buy the ones that work best for me in my future visit. Nothing was a surprise on my invoice, as they communicated each phase and asked if I wanted to elect to go through with a service. They were honest each step of my visit with their recommendations. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Gates is amazing! I saw her for an annual eye exam as I have a very high prescription. I’ve had eye problems my entire life and she is the first doctor I’ve seen who genuinely cared about my well being and was open to questions, super friendly, and a huge help! She cleared up a lot of things I’d wondered about over the years. I HIGHLY recommend! I’m never changing optometrists again!
