While building a therapeutic relationship, I encourage each client to strive for balance among all aspects of their daily lives, focusing on healing themselves from within from past emotional and physical traumas. I believe the approaches I have developed and adopted in my practice help clients desensitize the intensity, both emotionally and physically, so they can break the cycle of re-experiencing deep past inner child pain, which often perpetuates addictive behaviors. Using trauma and anxiety-focused therapies such as EMDR, HMR (Holographic Memory Resolution), and Reiki energy healing, the need to self-soothe deep emotional pain through self-defeating and destructive ways is significantly decreased. My goal in working with adults and teens is to apply an inner child healing approach to trauma. This style allows clients to guide treatment at their own pace while reframing their holographic memories of upset and hurt. In doing so, the opportunities for “re-experiencing” or “re-living” traumatic events or painful memories are significantly reduced and often avoided. Through reframing and healing buried memories often locked in the unconscious mind, clients can begin to release old negative thought patterns and energy from their mind, body, and spirit. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology and Master's in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University. My training includes a fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center's Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and an internship at the Allendale Association's Bradley Counseling Center.
