Getting to know Dr. Deborah Stegner
I am licensed and board certified in psychiatry and neurology. I am a seasoned psychiatrist with 17 years experience. After earning my medical degree at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2002, I then completed my residency at University of Colorado School of Medicine, specializing in General Adult Psychiatry. Previous to joining Serenity, I gained valuable experience as an Attending In-Patient Physician at several award-winning hospitals in Denver, Colorado.
I believe in a patient-centric approach driven by empathy. For a patient to be successful, a strong therapeutic relationship which supports mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical wellness is paramount to the process of healing as is active patient collaboration and a commitment to creating change.
I love being part of a group which provides the best treatments Psychiatry has to offer including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and IV Ketamine paired with Medication Management. Serenity Mental Health Centers has created an environment that normalizes mental health care with an inviting and spa like atmosphere staffed with patient centered providers and amazing support staff.
I was born in Fort Collins, a university town an hour north of Denver. I moved to Phoenix in 2019. I am the proud mother of two lovely daughters. In my free time, I enjoy interior design, DIY home projects, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

Deborah is an amazing doctor who listens and cares about her patients. She offers valuable insights and guidance at each appointment, not just medication management.
I have seen several other providers at this location and they were all great. I've had bad experiences elsewhere, but my experience at Serenity has always been positive.
