Dr. Deirdre Gundy is a board-certified OB-GYN with over 30 years of experience. She graduated from Hahnemann University School of Medicine (now Drexel University College of Medicine), Dr. Deirdre Gundy completed her residency there and further honed her skills at prestigious institutions like Philadelphia Women First-Mercy Health Systems, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and Stony Brook.
Dr. Deirdre Gundy previously served as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine and led the implementation of a minimally invasive gynecologic surgery program at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital in 2012. All while continuing to train residents in surgical techniques.

I specifically scheduled my appointment with Dr. Gundy because I wished to consult with a specialist and physician. However, I was instead seen by a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner without any prior notice or explanation. I find this concerning, as patients should be informed in advance if their appointment will not be with the doctor they specifically requested.

I e-mailed them my insurance info in the morning. Once I got to their office, they asked me to wait until they verify my insurance. After waiting for more than 1.5 hours past my appointment time, I was told that their agent was still on hold with my insurance provider. I had to cancel and book another doctor.

Very disorganized office. I had to make an emergency ultrasound so luckily there was a quick appointment available and I decided to try this place out, they called me to confirm. I went in wasted about an hour there before they told me the ultrasound tech wasn’t there that day. No one seemed to have a clue about anything, not even the doctor. I rescheduled and then 2 days before the appointment they tell me the doctor won’t be there. I will be going to another provider.

The doctor I saw was not who I booked but she was extremely helpful and took time to speak with me, patiently and collaboratively, about all my concerns. I was surprised to learn that there was no pelvic exam upon arrival because usually that’s a part of my annual visits. I’d return to this office and recommend it

I feel that the overall experience was disjointed and, at times, unpleasant. While the NP I saw was professional, the rest of the process felt inconsistent and transactional. The call center made an error, and the office did not take ownership of the issue.
I requested a change of pharmacy, yet the prescription was still sent to the previous location. I only discovered this because I followed up proactively. After experiencing an adverse reaction to the medication, I reached out again, but had to call multiple times for any update. There appeared to be little sense of urgency or empathy throughout the process.

This is by far the best and most informed GYN Doctor I have had in more than a decade. The administrative support was both kind, supportive and efficient. The environment was warm and welcoming. The Assistant and the Doctor were both professional, warm with great interpersonal skills. Very pleased with my entire experience.

An interesting experience for sure - waiting room was packed with women and it was boiling in there. Not enough seats so some women were standing, one even saying she’d been waiting for 2 hours. all of a sudden they started calling everyone back one by one - i’m assuming they were just rushing through appointments at that point. when my name got called, i had a really sweet girl take my BP and ask my height and weight, but then had to wait 30 mins before the NP came in. no urine sample was taken, i was out within 5 mins of the NP coming in. she did a quick breast exam and pelvic exam with the speculum and just gave my cervix a once-over. so can’t say it was thorough, but i guess it was good that i got out so quickly? overall a fine appointment but not sure i’d necessarily recommend.

- The office is very organized. The staff is great and I love that it is mostly women. Made me feel comfortable. The office is huge, I got lost on my way out to the waiting area lol :D.
- The doctor Deidra is everything I been looking for in a doctor. She is very knowledgeable and just great. I had questions and she answered them. For thoughts that I didn't finish, she follow-up on them. I love that !

The Doctor that I saw was great. No complaints whatsoever with her. It was (I think Schwartz the last name). It was very quick once you actually get into the room with the doctor. The staff at the front desk, at least who I got, wasn’t very friendly. I don’t think she actually looked up or at me once. Not a big deal, I’m there for the doctor, but it was a little off putting. My appointment was for 12:15 and I didn’t get in until about 12:45 (but quick when I actually got into the room) I would come back here to see this doctor, but if this was based on office experience. About three stars.

Absolutely loved my experience here. I was seen by a PA that was lovely, had incredible bedside manner and made me feel heard, respected and comfortable! The nurse who did my bloodwork was also amazing and as someone who doesn’t handle bloodwork well, she made me feel so relaxed and safe. Will absolutely be returning.
