Getting to know Dr. Devika Srivastava

I am a licensed psychologist and have been practicing in Houston since 2018. My doctoral training was conducted at the University of Houston, Columbia University, and Fordham University. I was an Assistant Professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine and provided psychological and assessment services to medical units of Ben Taub Hospital. I supervised Post-doctoral Psychology Fellows and lectured medical students, as well as behavioral health therapists. Across all of these modes of training and education, I have focused on substance use, trauma, personality disorders, social identities, multicultural issues, and medical problems. I believe in using evidence-based orientations to treat all mental health and alcohol use concerns. Additionally, I tailor therapy to address each client’s personal goals using their unique assets and strengths to get them there.
