She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Columbia University, where she graduated magna cum laude with degrees in biology and mathematics and was a four-year member of the varsity women’s basketball team. Following medical school, Dr. Lee completed a five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at Boston University. She then pursued additional sub-specialty training at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she learned techniques in reconstructive surgery of the adult hip and knee, including anterior hip replacement, from some of the foremost leaders in the field.
