Dr. Ferdinand has varied clinical experience, including working with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with anger management difficulties, depression, anxiety, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), bereavement challenges, complex trauma histories, and other concerns. In addition, she has experience working with families and providing therapy to adults with chronic medical challenges. Dr. Ferdinand primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her work with clients. She has experience with individuals from diverse ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and she values a collaborative therapeutic approach that helps clients achieve their treatment goals. In addition to therapy, Dr. Ferdinand has a wide range of psychological assessment experience and incorporates psychological testing into her work when appropriate. Dr. Ferdinand earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned a master’s degree in Psychology from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University. She completed her postdoctoral training at Wediko Children’s Services, where she provided psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families. Her predoctoral internships included placements at the Community Therapeutic Day School, Lexington High School, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Counseling Center, and the Department of Public Health at Tewksbury Hospital.
