Dr. Cox has been in the private practice of Optometry in Beachwood for the past 34 years. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Ohio State University. He was active in The Shaker Heights Rotary Club for over 20 years. He and his wife, Kathryn, have been married for over 30 years and have two daughters, one a nurse and the other a TV producer. He has extensive experience in eye examination, treatment of eye diseases, surgical co-management, and caring for the "difficult to fit" contact lens patient. In his spare time, he enjoys motorcycles and is an NSCA Class AA sporting clays shooter.

The doctor was very upset because he had to help another doctor out and a result he was very rude and mean to me. All he could talk about was how mad he was and he took his actions out on me. Very short when I ask questions, I don't think I will be seeing him ever again.

As soon as I arrived I was taken in the back to do an initial assessment and dilate my eyes. I was seen by Dr. Cox within 20 min thereafter. Dr. Cox was extremely thorough, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood everything going on with my eyes. Overall it was a great appointment and I will definitely be returning.
