“I felt heard and got a lot of good advice. I actually saw another provider 2 days earlier as I was trying to establish primary care and deal with my fluctuating weight. The previous provider did not listen and I instantly knew this wasn’t going to work for me as she came into the appointment having decided what she was going to say before even meeting me. Dr. Werner was completely different, he used up every moment of our appointment and asked me a lot of questions and really focused on finding me the right solutions to my current issues as well as getting me ready to become a long term patient of his. I really feel like I’ve found a doctor I can go to for a long time and I haven’t had a Primary Care Dr. since I was in my teens.
I would highly recommend going to Dr. Werner completely based off my one appointment where I actually felt heard. If you’re a women you know how rare it is to feel heard especially by a male Doctor.”

My life was changed by my pediatric cardiologist and cardiothoracic surgeon, whom I met at birth and stayed in touch with through medical school. Born a "blue baby" with congenital cyanotic heart disease due to an atrial septal defect, I underwent surgery in 1969 to repair it. Since then, I have wanted to help patients improve their lives as my doctors did for me. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester, and my passion for medicine remains. My goal is not just to treat, diagnose, or prescribe, but to improve patients' quality of life.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, considering physical and behavioral health? George Engel, MD introduced me to the Bio-Psycho-Social model, and my specialty in Family Medicine allows me to practice this approach. We are complex individuals influenced by physical health, genetics, lifestyle, environment, work, and social interactions. My role is to help patients navigate these complex interactions, both recognized and hidden. That is the art and science of medicine.
Tell us a little about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? Living in Colorado, enjoying the outdoors is important to me! Hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and camping are amazing. I also love reading daily, practice my spiritual beliefs, and may share them with patients if appropriate. I cherish time with my adopted daughter, who is in first grade!

I found Dr. Werner through a random search and filter process and blindly decided to go with him just based on his availability and expertise. BOY was I happily surprised at how amazing he turned out to be. Such a patient, confident Doctor who truly took his time to ask me valid probing questions in order to get to the root of what might be causing my symptoms. He offered some valuable suggestions and some very useful solutions for me that I was truly relieved to have. I will happily see him again for future visits.

I can't talk about Dx for Broken Neck online. Then WHY? Schedule
If the provider knows he cannot help during a scheduled video conference for a new patient, and is admitted just to reviewing my documents 2 minutes earlier~ that is not proper care, period Then telling me he can't do anything for me unless he diagnoses me in person why except a new patient tell him appointment? I'm on the record as telling the doctor and Zocdoc that I will not pay for this visit. Unacceptable!

I have been seeing Dr. Werner for years. He is very simply the best physician I have ever had. Dr. Werner gets to know his patients. He treats the whole person, not just today’s symptoms. Dr. Werner explains the “why” of his recommendations, and is always up to date on available treatments. A great doctor!

At the beginning of our very first interaction, Dr Werner pushed me to stop taking my medication. It is irresponsible and potentially dangerous for a practitioner to make such a recommendation without knowing the patient or their history. In addition, his overall communication was condescending, unfocused, and contradictory. I do not recommend Dr Werner.

it was a telehealth appointment through Circle Medical and it was easy to navigate and figure out.
Dr. Werner was great, one of the best doctors I've seen. I've seen quite a few due to some complex medical issues and Dr. Werner was really helpful and outlined a plan for care. He also explained why he recommended some things and also didn't make me feel like I needed to make a decision right away about certain things, which I appreciated. He was personable, professional, and knowledgeable without being condescending or judgemental (which gives me so much anxiety with doctors).
