About Dr. Edan Yodfat

Edan Yodfat, M.D., is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He received his medical degree from Semmelweis University Faculty of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Yodfat completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Yodfat served as a Captain in the Israeli Defense Forces. After finishing his residency, he worked for five years with underserved high-risk patients in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Yodfat holds a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, gynecologic procedures, and VBACs (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean).
He is fluent in Hebrew and French and enjoys swimming, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his wife and three children, two of whom were delivered by Dr. Alter and Dr. Troper.

The place is clean first of all. The first desk girl was nice, nurse Zoey was nice the doctor saw me and had a girl in the room during my appointment she was nice! I have had a lot of bad obgyn experiences my first gyn was a male and it scared me for a while but honestly im sticking with this doctor and this office. I asked for 2 referrals and the doctor gave them to me without a fight. this was my first visit and I got a sonogram done, she was also nice. Ive been to offices and there was no sonogram machine no nurse getting a referral is a fight.

I had an US done and was super anxious about the results. Dr. Yodfat called me in to discuss results and I’m sure didn’t notice how anxious I was but how comforting his tone was reassured me I’m in the hands of a good doctor. He communicated things well and made me feel at ease. He had personality and good bedside manner. I have never written a review in my life. This is my first one and it says a lot about what he has done for me without even knowing it.

The ladies are the front desk we’re very pleasant & helpful. The bathrooms could be a little more cleaner. Dr. Yodfat was genuine and listened to any questions I had. He’s compassionate and takes his time with each patient.

Everyone was very nice here. The front desk person was very nice and efficient. The nurse that brought me back to the room was also really nice and I enjoyed chatting to her. The ultrasound tech was really sweet and had a calm vibe that helped me relax. I didn’t see the doctor I had booked to see but the office informed me about this before my appointment so there weren’t any surprises. I was definitely nervous about a new doctor but I ended up liking him (Dr. Silverman) so much that I will continue to book with him. Such a wonderful bedside manner, knowledgeable, efficient (but didn’t make me feel rushed at all) and funny….humor will always win me over! My overall experience was great. Great people.

Dr.Yodfat has been my OB/GYN since I was a teenager and I couldn’t imagine going to any other doctor. The ladies at the front desk are always so nice and helpful and they try their best to move things along efficiently so you’re not waiting too long and the offices are very clean. Dr. Yodfat always makes good conversation and finds a way to make you so comfortable. Highly recommended especially if it’s your visit to a gynecologist.

I’m one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and I don’t except Blood Transfusions. Dr. Yodfat did everything he could to help me. I like that he didn’t view my convictions as a road block like many doctors do towards Jehovah’s Witnesses. I had a 7 lbs Fibroid causing me lots of pain and complications with my blood. Because I didn’t except blood, Dr. Yodfat was very careful with me. He would not operate on me unless my blood levels / numbers were within a safe range just in case I lost blood. He often expressed how my safety was more important. I actually saw a hematologist for 1.5 months to get my blood levels prepared for surgery. Dr. Yodfat made sure he was in contact with the hematologist until it was safe to operate. I never doubted his abilities as a surgeon. He’s very personable and seems to be a family man. I appreciated when he would answer my questions while on vacation. Reading the reviews from other sites, I also saw some nice things posted about his wife. You can tell he enjoys helping woman, and will never place a bloodless surgery patient or any patient at risk. He would definitely do his best to bring you the relief . The day of surgery, I believe we had a cell savage machine in the room just in case I lost a lot of blood. I would recommend him to anyone that’s in need.

It was my first visit in this center for a regular checkup.
I waited for 90 min since the scheduled time until I actually saw the Doctor (I really hope they would change the timeframes that are scheduled accordingly).
Usually when I visited a gyno doctor previously, he would always prepare me regarding what he is going to do, here it was a bit strange as he didn’t prepared / explained what he is going to do before checking anything, and checked first for breast lumps out of the blue which really surprised me (and it is the first time for me that a Gyno doc checks it), other than that, the checkup itself was fast.

I liked Dr. Yodfat's personality, but as a new patient I didn't feel like I was treated as such; I inferred that Dr. Yodfat was very busy and behind on seeing patients, so it felt rushed.
