Getting to know Dr. Eden Sherman

Eden Sherman is a postdoctoral fellow with a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from William Paterson University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Eden is trained in providing evidence-based treatment to those with substance use disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. She has experience treating patients at all levels of care, including inpatient, PHP/IOP, and outpatient settings. Eden incorporates practices from evidence-based therapies to provide culturally competent and individualized care. She takes a nonjudgmental and holistic approach to therapy and believes that a strong therapeutic relationship, trust, and teamwork are the foundation of meaningful treatment. Eden strives to help her patients build insight into their symptoms while supporting behavioral change and healthy coping.

Treatment is 100% virtual and primarily focused substance abuse.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
*Our process begins with a brief phone call with our Intake Coordinator to understand your needs and ensure the best possible match with one of our experienced clinicians.*
Treatment begins with a psychosocial interview to learn about you and your history of current and past stressors contributing to the current issue. We will then create an individualized treatment plan which may include individual therapy, medication management, group therapy, and/or couples/family therapy to best suit your needs.
