Getting to know Dr. Elene Peters
I am a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience. I am a CBT therapist with specialized training in CBT-I, DBT for Adolescents, CBT for trauma, and the treatment of anxiety and depression.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I take a direct problem solving approach with clients. I like to establish therapeutic goals within the first couple of sessions and collaborate with the client so they can meet these goals. I believe my role in the therapeutic process is to educate clients so that they can feel better and do better.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I will reach out to clients within 24 hours of booking an appointment. I work with Headway which handles all of the insurance paperwork. Once the client inputs their insurance information through headway we can start working together right away. Our first session will focus on gathering background information and setting goals for our sessions together.
