About Dr. Eliot Kaplan
Dr. Kaplan is a 1978 graduate of the New England College of Optometry. He has received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of vision-related learning disabilities. He is skilled in contact lens design and “vision therapy”, an approved treatment program for binocular vision and visual-perception problems.
Dr. Kaplan is active in the community, providing vision education for teachers and parents, while offering “vision screenings” for local schools and summer camps. Dr. Kaplan works closely with health care professionals and learning specialists who are dedicated to helping children with learning disabilities. He is an associate of the Optometric Extension Program (O.E.P.) and College of Optometrists in Vision Development (C.O.V.D.). Both are national organizations which provide continuing education for developmental optometrists.

Very good experience. No delay in my appointment and the doctor is very friendly and knowledgeable as always. This was my third visit with Dr. Kaplan and he kept all my previous records so there was no wasted time in getting my eyes and prescription dialed in. Good selection of frames and lenses to choose from . I will definitely go back to him for my eye care needs.

I wish all optometrists shared the same passion and knowledge about their craft. We make the drive from East bay because Dr Elliot is one of a kind and his assessments and eye exercises are phenomenal!he doesn’t just want to get your prescription and glasses, he truely educates you on the those 2 fascinating orbitals! I recommend taking a notebook cause he’s like an encyclopedia and there is no way I’ll retina :) what all he says!!we look forward to seeing him and there is not a wasted moment in front of him.

Dr. Kaplan and his office staff are friendly and knowledgeable professionals. Dr. Kaplan is very thorough with the eye exam, is a great listener about my concerns about my vision, and offers both short term and long term options (changing the prescription on my lenses and suggesting therapies to improve my eyesight). He has a great selection of glasses to choose from and takes my vision plan. From the time I arrived to the time I finished choosing my glasses and paying for them, I received excellent care and was finished within half an hour. I highly recommend him! I have been a client for two years now and I’m very happy with my care.
