About Dr. Emil Tajzoy
Having completed the Advanced Gynecological Surgery Fellowship at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, Dr. Emil Tajzoy is thrilled to now be accepting new patients! He is honored to have the privilege of working alongside Drs. Ted Fogwell, Eugene Hunt, and Tara Dullye at Presbyterian Dallas.
Born at Presbyterian Dallas himself, Dr. Tajzoy attended high school at Jesuit College Prep and graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science; during that time he assisted with neurological research at UT Southwestern. Dr. Tajzoy attended medical school at UT Southwestern, and it was there he realized his calling to pursue a career in Ob/Gyn. He then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Parkland Hospital, earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society for providing exceptional patient care and for his dedication to teaching medical students.
In order to provide the best possible care to patients, Dr. Tajzoy pursued the Advanced Gynecological Surgery Fellowship at Presbyterian Dallas and has been superbly trained in open surgery and minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery by some of the most renowned surgeons in north Texas, including gynecologists, gynecologic oncologists, urologists and colorectal surgeons. All of these mentors have been tremendously impressed with his abilities. He has further demonstrated his expertise in performing robotic-assisted abdominal cerclage surgery, an operation designed to reduce the risk of suffering an early pregnancy loss.
Dr. Tajzoy is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare for all women throughout the continuum of life. In addition to minimally invasive surgery, he is committed to providing compassionate, evidence based, and personalized care designed to address the unique needs and concerns of each patient. This care includes, but is not limited to, routine and high risk obstetric care, management of contraception, preventative health, and menopause. Dr. Tajzoy is honored to have the opportunity to build trusting and supportive lifelong relationships with his patients and to help maintain the physical, emotional and mental well-being of each one.
In his spare time, Dr. Tajzoy enjoys teaching medical students through serving as an editor and host for the Ob/Gyn lectures for Doctors in Training, a premier medical board review course. He recently had the privilege of traveling to Guatemala for a surgical mission trip in which he performed gynecologic surgeries to underserved populations. Currently, Dr. Tajzoy is the instructor for the “Daddy Boot Camp” class for new fathers as part of Presbyterian Dallas’ prenatal education program. When not at the hospital, he loves playing tennis, attending new theater productions, watching movies, and traveling with his wonderful wife Catherine, a skilled and compassionate ICU nurse at Baylor.

Very kind and welcoming practice. This was my first visit to an OBGYN and I was incredibly anxious. Everyone from the receptionist to the assistant to Dr. Tajzoy himself made it clear that their first priority is the patient and how comfortable they are.
I appreciated that Dr. Tajzoy talked with me about my medical history in his office rather than the examination room. Many women have issues with their OBGYNs and their willingness to identify endometriosis or PCOS but Dr. Tajzoy listened to me, confirmed my symptoms of PCOS, and immediately offered me solutions.
When we did enter the exam room for my first PAP smear, he took the time and care to explain everything he was doing and always asked how I felt. It was clear from that point that patients are not just names on a sheet of paper here. Your body and your health are genuinely cared for on a very personal level. I'm so lucky to have found this practice!

After having many appointment scheduling issues with my previous OBGYN office staff during the time that I was having a miscarriage, I decided to see Dr. Tajzoy for my follow up. He is beyond AMAZING! I went in a nervous wreck not knowing what to expect after my miscarriage and I left his office feeling at ease and with peace. He was kind, knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions I had. His office staff is also amazing, they were all so helpful and sweet. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Tajzoy during a time that has been so difficult and trying for my husband and I.
