About Dr. Emily Blanton
Dr. Blanton treats a wide range of benign gynecologic conditions. She is passionate about helping her patients understand their diagnoses and providing excellent care. She is a board-certified OB/Gyn and has completed fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and female chronic pelvic pain.
She is experienced in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques as well as female chronic pelvic pain. Her philosophy towards treating complex conditions centers on a multi-modal approach that includes various medical and physical therapies along with surgical interventions when appropriate.
In addition to her clinical activities, she is active in research and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles.
Dr. Blanton attended college at Brown University in Providence, RI where she also played lacrosse on their division I team for four years. She received her medical degree from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and finished her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Female Chronic Pelvic Pain at Florida Hospital in Orlando, FL before returning back to New York City to practice.
