About Dr. Eric Feit

Dr. Feit has been in private practice in Torrance and San Pedro since 1996. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In addition, he is the past president of the American Diabetes Association in Los Angeles.
He attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine, and then completed a 3 year residency program in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery in San Francisco in 1996. He has written many articles in the medical literature and he is a frequent speaker at some of the largest medical conferences in the western region of the United States.
He is one of the only foot and ankle doctors in Southern California with 3 years of surgical training. Due to the academic nature of his residency he dedicates himself to educating other doctors and educating his patients about their injuries and ailments.
He joined the Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association in 1998 and became president of the LA Chapter in 2001. This is the second largest and most active chapter in the United States. He volunteers at locations throughout Los Angeles on behalf of the Association to help educate others about the effects of diabetes and how to prevent and treat diabetic conditions such as painful neuropathy, foot ulcers, infections, and limb salvage.
Tennis has been a passion since he was a child. He was a nationally ranked junior player and a college all-American in 1987 from Guilford College. He played professionally briefly in 1996 prior to attending podiatric medical school. He has written several articles on sports related foot/ankle injuries and has a unique understanding for running, tennis, and other sports injuries.
