PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE Philosophy & Approach: I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy for a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, PTSD, moral injury, life transitions, identity, and more. I integrate the best available research with clinical expertise in the context of my patient’s unique characteristics, culture, and preferences. My treatment approach begins with empathic understanding, authenticity, and respect. Psychotherapy can serve many purposes, such as improving mental health and well-being, enhancing communication skills, building healthier relationships, reducing anxiety, healing from trauma, creating healthier habits, and more. I will work with you to outline your unique goals and discuss our shared understanding of the problem, results and implications of any assessment, therapeutic objectives, and possible outcomes of psychotherapy. While I am a generalist, I also have specialized training and experience in trauma-focused therapies. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University and hold a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Illinois, Chicago.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have found that every person, no matter how strong, is affected by certain life experiences. There is suffering in existence, yet when the problems affect your ability to function in social, vocational, or family life, then it is time to act. If you are here, then you have taken the first step on this journey. I want to help you achieve the best version of yourself and thrive in response to life’s changes along the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My psychotherapy approach begins with meeting you where you are with empathy, respect, and authenticity. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand you. I will work with you to outline your unique goals and desired outcomes of psychotherapy.
