Getting to know Dr. Erik Lundmark

Dr. Erik Lundmark is a licensed, board-certified adult psychiatrist at Serenity Mental Health Centers. Dr. Lundmark joined Serenity in September of 2022. He offers all his patients a comprehensive and synergetic care approach. After earning his medical degree at F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in 2002, Dr. Lundmark completed his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center. He then went on to complete his fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry in 2016 to become a board-certified adult psychiatrist in Texas. Dr. Lundmark’s patient care philosophy stems from his conviction that a collaborative and holistic approach empowers patients and allows them to move toward healing. He believes that opening the windows of their unconscious world allows his patients to progress beyond prior boundaries and limitations. Treatment is a journey taken together, and Dr. Lundmark feels it is an honor to be invited to participate in the lives of his patients. At Serenity, he offers treatment through ketamine therapy, TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), and medication management. In his spare time, Dr. Lundmark enjoys running, biking, hiking, basketball, and anything kinetic and active. He also cherishes the time spent with his family, including his two children and his wife, whom he married during his time in the Army. All who know him well have agreed, marrying her was the best decision he ever made. While studying and practicing medicine in the Army, Dr. Lundmark had many opportunities to travel both in the states and overseas. Seeing the world through the eyes of another culture and people broadened his perspective and influenced his decision to pursue psychiatry. Now retired from the military, Dr. Lundmark has chosen Serenity Mental Health as the next chapter in his life, a chapter he believes should prove just as thrilling and fulfilling as those now past. He looks forward to working with many new patients as he helps them reclaim their lives from the effects of mental illness.

The doctor is not on Zocdoc site at all. I drove for 40 minutes only to be told that he not only did not take my insurance but that he didn’t even know about the appointment. Please update your system so other people don’t have to deal with this.

The staff is always friendly and genuine. Dr. Lundmark has a great positive energy, always a big handshake and he takes time to ask about what’s new since we last spoke. I l live and hour away and prefer to drive round trip than find a new doctor that’s closer.
